Ying Zhu (Ph.D., George Mason) is a CMII Associate Professor, with a joint appointment in Computer Science and an affiliation in the Neuroscience Institute. His research focuses on 3D computer graphics, game design and development, data visualization, and human computer interactions. Recent research projects include work on sports data visualization, cancer biomarker visualization, text visualization, visual storytelling, soft terrain simulation, collaborative augmented reality, computer security visualization, graphical password, neural network visualization, biomechanics simulation, and human knee joint simulation. These efforts have received NSF and NIH support. Before joining Georgia State, Zhu was a Senior Software Engineer at CA Technologies.
